Revelstoke Elopement in the Sky

When Ryan reached out to me about shooting his wedding in Revelstoke, I was immediately excited - Revelstoke BC is known for it's beautiful landscapes, lush valleys, and snow-capped peaks. Ryan and Sam were flying over from England to tour around BC with their son , and decided that Revelstoke was where they wanted to tie the knot with their son in tow.
The day started at the hangar where we got to spend some time with helicopters up-close. We worked with our pilot to choose a location in the wilderness, and decided on a flight to the beautiful Ghost Peak.
With excitement, we quickly lift off and were in the sky in no time. Flying down the valley with the Revelstoke townsite below us, we saw the natural beauty of the Columbia River through a new lens. Along the river and over the flats, we glided left and came to rest on a snowy ledge overlooking Ghost Peak.
Holding hands, Ryan guided Sam through the snow to overlook Ghost Peak and exchanged vows. With their son close by, they shared stories about how they met, their love, and the special connection that they have with each other. Light, puffy clouds floated quietly above us as the sun kept us warm on our shoulders.
What a surreal experience! Early spring is such a great time to explore Revelstoke and all it has to offer, and what better way to elope than a heli-elopement in the sky!
